Rockingham County, Virginia

All conversations about our land should begin with an acknowledgement of the indigenous people from whom our land is stolen. Long before colonizers reached the shores of this country the land we now know as Rockingham County belonged to members of the Iroquois, Siouan, Shawnee, and Tuscarora tribes. To them we should always be grateful and always work to do better and be better stewards of the earth.

Now home to approximately 79,000 people Rockingham County boasts itself as the Turkey Capital of The World. As the niece of a poultry farmer I have immense respect for the hard work and long hours that go into making sure everything on a farm is managed properly and that the animals are healthy. I have fond... ok... maybe not fond, but I have many memories of helping out in the turkey houses while growing up. And while it may not have always been enjoyable I do appreciate the perspective that experience gave me as I move through life.

I am excited to spend more time in Rockingham County throughout the campaign. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out. You can reach me by email at jenniferkitchenfordelegate@gmail.com or by phone at 540-245-0682
